We all aspire to photograph magical moments of light, moments when the weather offers up something rare and precious. However, despite our best intentions and regardless of how much meticulous planning we put in, those special conditions usually elude us, leaving us to make the most of the light on offer.
That’s just the way it is, and for the most part we as photographers are ok with that. But sometimes, even ordinary conditions elude us and we are left with dismal weather for photography. These are the times when many of us, myself included, choose to shelter indoors.
