A potentially useful part of learning your trade as a landscape photographer is to tackle some scenic locations known and frequented by other photographers. Understandably, you want your own images of these places. No harm in that, though in time you should try and find your own personal icons. Meanwhile, perhaps you want to judge your progress by comparing your efforts with the past successes of others, or perhaps to try and interpret the scene in your own style and on your own terms.
