High Impact Or Subtle Images?

Are you the type of person who takes high impact images full of the wow factor or do you concentrate on capturing images that really mean something to you, even though they might not be everyone’s taste? Dennis Bromage shares his thoughts

Don't get me wrong: I like my high impact WOW images as much as the next person and I make no apology for having my fair share of high contrast, colourful images in my portfolio. However, are high impact images the be all and end all in landscape photography today? I for one certainly hope not and I would like to argue a case for more subtle and complex images.
