I’m sure we have all been caught out in an unexpected shower during the summer months, getting an unwelcome dowsing from the heavens. We thought we’d look at some stowable waterproof jackets that offer effective protection from the elements without weighing down our packs or taking up too much space.
As our local Dumfries and Galloway hills in Scotland are famous for the odd spot of rain, we took a range of coats from some leading manufacturers out into the Galloway Forest Park to test; sheltering in White Laggan Bothy to take some snaps.
