Expect The Unexpected

A couple of months ago I wrote an article about how I find locations and how all my shoots are meticulously planned and executed in an almost military fashion! This picture on the other hand was totally unplanned/unexpected. Having just purchased the Canon 17mm TS-E lens and Lee adaptor, I was in Whitby to try a twilight composition at the bottom of the 199 steps. I had envisioned the image for a year but could not tackle it because I did not have a wide enough lens, so I was quite excited, both about trying out the new equipment and hopefully capturing an image that I had wished for.
