The quality of the illustrations is exceptional. The text is interesting and authoritative. And although this is not a book written by Art Wolfe, is it still worth the purchase? David Hay has the review
Art Wolfe is one of the best known photographers in the world. He doesn’t just take photographs; he has made himself into a photographic brand, and has written about how to promote yourself and your photography. He has even managed to incorporate his name subtly into the title of this book.
Art Wolfe started off as a nature photographer and has become interested in photographing many different types of subject since then. He is perhaps best known for his travel photography which he showcases in America in his ‘Travels to the Edge’ TV series. He has photographed tribal faces, camouflaged wildlife, migrating animals and, more recently, fine art painted figure studies. His book, Migrations caused controversy at the time it was released because some of the images had been ‘photo-shopped’.
