Touchdown was in Los Angeles, California, a world apart from my South American experience. Everything is within reach here; within hours I was familiar again with the concept of travelling in comfort.
I have been to California and most of the other south western states many times before, so why return? The answer, simply, is because, in my opinion, the states of California, Nevada, Utah and Arizona are home to some of the world’s most spectacular national parks. These are my favourite hunting grounds; I know this part of the world well, and I have a collection of outstanding images of its national parks. Still, as a landscape photographer, I am trying constantly to improve upon my images.
