Lessons From Mount St Helens

Mt St Helens is an amazing mountain rich in history. With most of the Mount being younger than 3,000 years old, studying its landscape can teach landscape photographers many things. Trevor Anderson shares his experience

Mt St Helens used to be a popular recreation area in Washington State for many different activities. The sparkling waters of Spirit Lake offered ample opportunities for boating and fishing and its shorelines were fantastic for the camping outings of many different groups. To many, Mt St Helens had a lingering aesthetic; the kind that seemed unchanging or frozen in pristine beauty.
