Freshwater rivers are fascinating. I have been a kayak paddler since the mid 1990’s, through which I have gained an intimate knowledge both of placid and whitewater rivers. I love bubbly, aerated whitewater, the way it tumbles over rocks and ledges swirling into eddies, the calm serenity of clear placid water and the wild places that rivers can take you.
