Forget bad weather, ignore bad light, never mind forecasts. There is an abundance of images out there waiting for you to capture, all you need is imagination, inspiration and a bit of luck as Dimitri Vasileiou explains
I used to go for a photo shoot with one thing in mind, a perfect sunrise or sunset; but not any more. The reason for this is Scotland’s unpredictable weather. Scotland’s “bad weather”, as some call it, was a blessing for me, as it made me realise that landscape photographs can be taken in almost any kind of weather and any kind of light.
The result now is that I head out with one thing in mind, to make images. I accept whatever kind of light nature offers at any given time and do everything in my power to capture it in the best way possible.
