Wadden Sea, Netherlands
The Wadden sea is the last ‘wilderness’ in the Netherlands and a world heritage site. It’s only a half hour drive from where I live and I’m very fortunate to be able to live nearby. This image was taken on a beautiful calm and tranquil evening in June 2012, just after sunset. I had timed the moment to coincide with the retreating tide.
