Bonsai Rock, Lake Tahoe, NV, USA
Bonsai Rock is one of the many beautiful spots in the Lake Tahoe region. During the month of August the Milky Way positioned itself just above Bonsai Rock while the light pollution from South Lake Tahoe, CA cast an eery orange glow in the background. The air-glow effect created an additional green glow in the horizon. I arrived early, set-up my composition using the foreground rocks to frame the photo and waited for the Milky Way to move into position.
