Very interesting if a little schmaltzy for my taste. The Americans love to eulogise their country, which in places is very beautiful.
There have been large cameras before including a Polaroid but this was pretty big. A return to the early days of photography using the wet plate process had the very same problems as they encountered. Chemical compounds vary and each batch was an adventure.
Travelling around with a large camera obscurer behind you may not suit everybody but it at least brings back the real worth of the photographic process which I applaud.
