Sisiman Bay, Bataan, Philippines

Sisiman Bay, Bataan, Philippines

The clouds are rapidly forming like a Mushroom and the waves are gracefully hitting the rocks. So I quickly turned around and searched for a nice flow and pattern of waves as a foreground, set up my camera, GND filters and waited for the wave to hit the rocks.

I love the way you captured the sky, the clouds are super, the colour is beautiful and reflection is critical to the image. It looks very slightly overexposed on the right hand cloud. To me, the sky is the main focus but it only takes up a third of the image. But still a very nice image.

  2. I think you got it just right. The wide lens flatters the flow of the water, the shutter speed is good – the flow is seen clearly and with a lot of details – and it was smoothened just enough. Exposure is good – there's one very bright (burnt?) spot on the right-most cloud, but it helps balancing the rest of the image (as long as it's not too large and white when the image is enlarged). And finally the warm clouds balance the cool foreground. One thing I might have tried to do just to see how it changes the image is warming the foreground a little.
    Very nice shot.

I love the clouds and their reflections. I find the water distracting; it takes too much of the frame.

I would have used a longer focal length to isolate the clouds and looked for a foreground element; perhaps waited for a boat to sail into the frame.
