I went for a long weekend to the Isle of Arran with my friend Mike. We were very lucky with the weather as it remained nice and dry, not a normal thing for Arran.
I was visiting Arran quite frequently in the past and had some lovely memories, however, I hadn’t been on the island for a few years. This was a good opportunity to visit some old and explore some new locations.
I had never been to Glen Rosa before and, although it was a boring walk for the first 30 minutes, as soon as we gained height, the Glen started becoming more and more interesting. This is where I captured this picture. It had been sunny all morning and the light was not appropriate for waterfall photography, however, there was some cloud cover by the time I was ready to capture the picture. We do need some luck from time to time, don’t we?
I was impressed with the amount of new locations I discovered on the island and I am running a bespoke photographic workshop there on April 2013, watch this space.
