
Findhorn Beach, Scotland
Findhorn is a little village in Morayshire, Scotland situated on the eastern edge of Findhorn Bay which backs on to the Moray Firth. The current village is believed to be the second to bear the name. The original was situated about 1 mile north west of its current position. There are, however, some people who believe that it may actually be the third settlement in the area to bear the name.
During the seventeenth century Findhorn was the major seaport in Moray with vessels coming in from all parts of the North Sea and even as far away as Baltic ports.
